Great New Worlds

Your awesome cover has persuaded a reader to take a peep inside your book. Now you know that the first few words must grab their attention. Here's an opportunity for authors to put their first one thousand words in front of potential readers.

I am looking for fantasy authors, in all sub-genres, to submit the opening of their books. For a chance to get some welcome exposure, please read the How To Submit section. All submissions are welcome and I promise to feature every one received. It's not for me to decide which are good enough or suitable for the reader. After all, as Edmund Wilson once said, "No two persons ever read the same book."

Do you love reading fantasy fiction? Here's a chance for you to discover the new and exciting worlds created by the unlimited imagination of a growing legion of writers. Why not offer your thoughts and opinions, as long as they are fair and constructive. Authors (almost) always love to know what readers think of their work.  Please let us know if you liked the author's first one thousand words enough to buy all their other words. You can also follow by email for the latest features, special offers and giveaways.

  1. Not much of a fantasy genre reader but I do believe that this is an excellent way for people even YA themselves to share ideas and perhaps find the support necessary to write themselves and become published

    1. Thanks for taking the time to comment and your encouragement. It's early days yet, but I'm very hopeful that my blog will become an invaluable resource for new writers. I also have plans to launch another blog to cover other genres.
